William Horton

My name is William Horton I am navy veteran, husband, father, and grandpa. I have 6 children and 5 grandchildren.

I have worked in the automotive industry for many years until I became ill. I was diagnosed with end stage renal disease and have been on dialysis for almost 6 years. I am very active in my children’s life and enjoy being there for all of their accomplishments and milestones.

Our family is very close and we love spending time together by having Sunday dinners, playing games and attending my youngest daughter’s cheer competitions, I think I am a bigger cheerleader than she is.

I have always been the rock for my family and I keep doing my best every day to keep my spirits up and to fight this disease. Every day gets harder and harder, but it is my family and friends that keep me going everyday.

My goal is to be there to walk all of my daughters down the aisle one day and that is what I am fighting.

We need you to help us support William.  Whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor,  you can make a profound impact!

Living kidney donation has been proven to be safe.  There are no long term consequences to the donor.  After recovery, donors can live a normal life with one kidney.

DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the  evaluation or surgery.
