My name is William (Tony) Head, and I proudly served in the United States Army from 1982 to 1984. Shortly after basic training, I volunteered to become a paratrooper and immediately went through jump school. Afterward, I was assigned to my regular duty station at Fort Benning, Georgia. In 1984, I was deployed to the 15th Infantry Division in Kitzingen, Germany. Serving my country and representing the United States in Germany remains one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

Following my military service, I transitioned into civilian life and built a successful career in the petrochemical industry, working on offshore oil rigs in the Gulf of America. Over the years, I advanced into project management, leading projects for various companies and gaining valuable industry experience.

Family has always been the center of my life. I have a daughter, Samantha, and she and her husband have a daughter and two sons. My wife, Bobbie, has one son, and he and his wife have one daughter. Our grandchildren are our life.

While serving in Germany, I contracted Hepatitis C, which ultimately led to liver damage in 2008. The medication required to treat my condition later caused kidney failure. In 2021, I was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease and began dialysis on November 12, 2021, while awaiting a kidney transplant.

Despite these health challenges, I remain focused on the things that matter most: spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren, traveling whenever possible, and staying active and healthy while continuing my journey toward transplantation. My experiences have taught me the importance of resilience, gratitude, and making the most of every day.
