I was active duty in the Army for three years and then served nineteen years in the Maryland Army National Guard before retiring.  During my service with the National Guard, I really enjoyed being able to assist Marylanders before, during, and after natural disasters.

I am currently working full-time for the Federal Aviation Administration. I serve as a principal technical specialist for complex National Air Space systems.

I am blessed to be married to my incredible wife, Sheri and have three wonderful children Derek, Morgan, and Joseph.  My wife is the manager of a foster care and adoption program for a county in Virginia.  Derek is married and is currently serving in the Air Force in Texas.  Morgan lives in Maryland with her husband and is a stay-at-home mother to our precious grandchildren, Josefina and Milo.  Joseph is a Navy veteran currently working for the FAA in New Jersey.

I went into stage 5 kidney failure a week before Christmas in 2022 and started peritoneal dialysis in January of 2023.  Being on dialysis makes it difficult to do simple household tasks and pick up my grandchildren since I am not permitted to lift more than 25 pounds.   Traveling for work or vacation is very arduous due to the amount of supplies that I must take with me.

A living donor transplant gives me the best opportunity for restoring my health and active lifestyle. My wife, kids and sister all wanted to donate but were not approved as a candidate. We are now looking outside our circle of family and friends to find a special person willing to help.

I love to travel and look forward to being able to do that again. Enjoying family gatherings and spending as much time as I can with my wife, children and grandchildren is very important to me.

For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Tim’s life with the other!

Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
