I am 58 years old, and I joined the Army after high school and served active duty from 1986 – 1989 as a 76v material storage and handling specialist. I continued to serve in the active Army reserves until 1996 as an 88m heavy rig transportation driver and was deployed to the Persian Gulf War from Jan 1990 to June 1990. I loved and learned a lot from meeting many people around the world while serving our country.

After my active-duty service, I resided in North Carolina and attended ECPI Technical institute where I received a certificate in digital/computer electronics. I am currently working for AT&T Telecommunications. I have been married to my loving wife for 29 years and have two beautiful, loving daughters.

In 2014, I was diagnosed with a blood disorder called AL Amyloidosis which damaged my kidneys. A catheter has been put in and my nephrologist is telling me to prepare to start dialysis sometime this year in 2025.

I am an active person and love being outside walking, fishing, some hunting, trying to play basketball, and spending time with family. I am a positive person knowing that God will provide and take care of me. I thank God for DOVE, everything they are doing to help veterans by bringing awareness to people as to how they can save someone’s life.

For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Timothy’s life with the other!

Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
