Petty Officer Williams E-5 was a Yeoman (office administrator processed in different branches of military at the joint Central command for recall serving six years in the US Navy. She is a combat veteran awarded with National Defense Service Medal (2); Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Armed Forces Reserve Medal; Joint Meritorious Unit Award. She enjoyed being with a group of men and women who were like family, knowing they had each other’s back.
Shaquilla Williams is a powerhouse in the world of luxury event design, who is a sought-after celebrity floral and event designer, global educator, and dynamic business coach. Known for her signature “Magic Touch,” Shaquilla teaches immersive wedding and floral design workshops across the world, inspiring creatives to elevate their craft and build profitable businesses.
She is the visionary founder of Larger Than Life Event Planning and the driving force behind Wedding Bells & Whistles—Polk County’s first and only premier bridal magazine—and is also launching the region’s first wedding expo in years, debuting 2026 in downtown Lakeland.
Beyond design, Shaquilla is a mentor and strategist who empowers entrepreneurs to grow and monetize their niche. She leads two youth summer camps focused on entrepreneurship and gives back to her community through annual back-to-school giveaways, business networking events, and holiday celebrations. Her work extends into venue consulting—partnering with venue owners to curate events that boost visibility, revenue, and long-term growth.
She is a married, a devoted mother of four and has two grandchildren. Her oldest is a manager for an insurance company, the second oldest I help start a trucking business in which he is very successful, my daughter, the third child oldest, goes to Polk State College, and my baby 14-year-old is the varsity quarterback for Mulberry High School. My grandkids, both boys, are nine and two.
I was diagnosed in 2018 with kidney disease and started dialysis in September 2023. I have needed to adjust my workload since starting dialysis because it takes a lot out of me.
She enjoys doing volunteer work at different organizations. Once she receives her transplant, she can do many more community events and fundraisers—do more all around. She likes to spend time with her family, read, etc. Right now, a lot of that is hard to do when going to dialysis three days a week and the havoc it wreaks it puts on her body.
For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.
