Ronald Ross is a husband and father who served in the National Guard for six years. He was skilled in many areas, including as an infantry scout; a driver, loader, gunner, and tank commander; and a helicopter technician. He graduated from college with an associate’s degree in engineering and received his Master Electrician’s License.

In civilian life, Ron was a repairman for the commercial cooking industry, in the sanitation and hot side of restaurant equipment. He retired in 2020 and started traveling with his wife, Linda, before he began having health issues. Ron’s kidneys began to fail, and he needed to start dialysis. Unfortunately, he now battles fatigue and is less active than he was.

Ron and Linda were big travelers, whether in motorhomes or on motorcycles, and considered themselves “thrill seekers” before Ron was faced with this life-threatening illness. He would love to regain his health and live out the rest of his life doing the things he loves, surrounded by his family.

For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Ron’s life with the other!

Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
