My name is Reginald Blackwell, proud father of two wonderful young adults and husband to my beloved wife Ruth of more than 49 years. Together we have built a life grounded in faith, family, and service.
I proudly served our country in the United States Navy, receiving an Honorable Discharge after being diagnosed with the Sickle Cell trait.
I was saved in 1983, called to the ministry in 1986, and graduated from seminary in 1992. I pastored at Teachable Moment Ministries for 21 years. I coached 4th, 5th, and 6th grade football, and also coached 7th and 8th grade track. I am an avid hunter/fisherman, and I enjoy the outdoors.
Today, after more than four years on kidney dialysis, I am prayerfully seeking a living kidney donor through the Dove Program. A transplant would not only extend my life but also allow me to continue the ministry and outreach that God has placed in my heart.
I am deeply grateful to all who take time to hear my story and consider giving the priceless gift of life.
Sincerely Yours,
Mr. Reginald Blackwell
For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Reginald‘s life with the other!
Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
