My name is Marvin Lockhart, and I am a decorated combat Vet with several deployments to the Middle East/Persian Gulf. I am a retired Chief Petty Officer with 24 years of service in the United States Navy. Now retired, I am a Systems Engineer/Cyber Specialist based in San Antonio, Texas. I stay closely connected with the military community here, working with personnel from various branches, including the Space Force.
I am currently divorced and a father of two adult children living in New York. I’m striving to restore my health while currently living with Stage 4 chronic kidney disease (CKD), which is progressing to Stage 5. I am currently not on dialysis and would like to avoid the dialysis machine (my mother died on dialysis).
At 58, I aim to live a full and active life again, eager to travel, working out in the gym again (it’s hard to do so now with my muscle loss due to CKD) and embrace the years ahead enjoying the camaraderie of fellow military personnel on the military bases in San Antonio.
