Marc Arthurs

Air Force | Living Donor

My name is Marc Arthurs, and I retired after 21 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Technical Sergeant. I worked as an Information Manager Journeyman (3A0X1) and retired as NCOIC, Information Technology Asset Management, at MacDill AFB, Florida. I am a combat veteran and served on the base honor guard for 15 years.

I worked in Administrative and Communication support, including secure and non-secure communications for base and mobility units, and I enjoyed having a clear mission to succeed. I am medically retired due to my kidney damage and failure. My wife and I have been married for eight years and have two wonderful boys.

I was informed about my kidney damage in 2002, and over the years it has progressed to the point where I am now bordering on stage 4/5. I am currently not on dialysis, but I have many physical limitations, which the Veterans Administration has labeled as 100% disabled. I enjoy coaching youth in the fundamentals of tackle football, bowling with family and friends, swimming, and going to the gym. Returning to an active and fun life would be a wonderful thing.

Will you join DOVE in our mission to find a kidney for me? Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on my life and the life of my family!

Marc has enlisted the help of a Veteran’s organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran’s life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call (551) 233-1611.
