Marc Anthony Williams

Army | Living Donor

My focus has always been to protect U.S. citizens and ensure their safety.  I loved defending the USA and servicing my local community.

I served from 1986 – 1996 in the U.S. Army Active-Duty as a Network Communications Systems Specialist.  From 1997 – 2003, I raised my family, completed college {University of Houston/Cum Laude}, and worked in the Harris County Sheriff Department Deputy. From 2004 – 2016, I served in the U.S. Army Active-Duty and had deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq. In 2016, I retired after 22 years of service to my country. I enjoyed the camaraderie, daily challenges, and life-long friendships during my time in the military.

I’m engaged to my beautiful fiancée (Misty Lane Packer).  Misty has Multiple Sclerosis and together we share a special love. I have three children: Eldest Son – Xavier Anthony Williams (34); Daughter – Morgan Aalyia Williams (29); Youngest Son – Marcellus Allen Williams (28).

Xavier is married and has two children (boy/girl).  He works as a Computer Programmer and is an outstanding Father and Son. Morgan has two children (boy/girl).  She recently went back to college to be an example for her children.  I’m super PROUD of her resilience. Marcellus also returned to complete college.  He is truly the academic standout in our family, and his potential is infinite. I LOVE all my children, and grandchildren alike.

Grandchildren: Morgan’s children, Son – Saint Allen Davis (5), Daughter – Desiree Jerene Davis (3); Xavier’s children, Daughter – Noelle Williams (3), Son – Nolan Williams (2). Saint just started pre-school.  He loves opening things to diagnosis and repair.  Saint is very athletic; and we have two family members who are in the NFL. Desiree is for now a tom-boy, and drives her brother Saint crazy!  LOL. Noelle is the dainty Princess of the family. Nolan is definitely a two-year-old boy.  Daily he’s all about DESTRUCTION!  LOL

I was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2003.  Yes, I literally dealt with this disease until hospitalization in 2020.  Since 2020, I have had to wait for a donor until now. I have been on peritoneal dialysis (PD) since then as well. I have been keeping myself busy and doing the best I can.

Nothing is more important to me than family.  R.I.P. to my wonderful parents; who taught us great family values and love.  Spending memorable time with my grandchildren makes me happy and whole.

I love music and playing the congas/bongos.  Getting back to running would be exhilarating.  Sports (Basketball/Baseball) is of course something I want to do again.  However, my body and age says, yeah right!  LOL. Volunteering at a Foodbank or Hospital will be paramount.

For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Marc’s life with the other!

Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
