Hello, my name is Julian Robinson,

I proudly served in the United States Navy and contributed to the role of Radioman in communications. My time in the service taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of teamwork. I especially appreciated the fellowship and sense of purpose that came with serving my country and taught me lessons that have stayed with me throughout my life.

After leaving the Navy, I pursued a career in law enforcement as a Correctional Officer, where I worked for 36 years before retiring. That work was often challenging, but it brought me satisfaction knowing I was helping maintain safety in my community and treating others with fairness and respect.

Family is the heart of my life. I am blessed with children and three wonderful grandchildren who bring me immense joy. Spending time with them, whether playing, sharing meals, or just being together, keeps me motivated and hopeful every day.

Over the years, I have also volunteered by coaching youth basketball and refereeing games, which allowed me to give back to my community while mentoring young athletes.

I was diagnosed with kidney disease, and my doctors have advised that a transplant is the best path forward. Receiving a kidney would allow me to maintain my health, regain energy, and continue being active and present for my family and community.

In my free time, I enjoy watching sports, learning music, and sharing quality moments with my grandchildren. After a transplant, I look forward to pursuing these passions more fully and creating lasting memories with my loved ones.

For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Julian’s life with the other!

Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
