Hi, I’m Jude Grant-Dawson. I proudly served for 8 years in the United States Air Force as a Security Specialist, where I learned the true meaning of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. After leaving the military, I explored several career paths before discovering my calling in public safety—a field that allows me to serve others with purpose and compassion.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working as a Firefighter/EMS professional and later as a 911 Dispatch Supervisor, roles that taught me the value of calm leadership and empathy in times of crisis. Those combined military and civilian experiences not only enhanced my career but also deepened my belief in leading with integrity, loyalty, and heart.
Beyond the uniforms and headset, I’m deeply rooted in family and community. I find joy in spending time with my wife, Mina, and our loved ones, celebrating milestones and finding new ways to make a difference in others’ lives.
Unfortunately, I am battling kidney disease and have been reliant on dialysis for my survival since November 2024. I am on the waiting list to receive a kidney transplant and am looking for a living kidney donor. This is my best chance of living a long and healthy life allowing me to be there for my family.
For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Jude‘s life with the other!
