During my service, I did work such as: 92G (Culinary Specialist) , 92Y (Unit Supply Specialist), 88M (Motor Transport Operators), 91B (Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic), 13B (Cannon Crewmember). Even though my primary was the 92G. In 2022, the Army gave me a medical discharge because I developed diabetes.
I reached the rank of E4 before receiving the discharge since I had a motorcycle accident where I had a wound and then an operation on my right leg. Because of it, I couldn’t run the full 2 miles after an intervention on one of my feet. Aft So, I couldn’t go to Sergeant school.
I am a combat veteran, who served in Iraq from 2010-2011. I was activated in Puerto Rico during Hurricane Maria. During my service, the things I enjoyed the most were the brothers and sisters I acquired while serving; the extended family and the friendship that is created.
I’m currently finishing my bachelor’s degree in nursing, and I’m currently working at Fort Buchanan in Puerto Rico.
My partner and I have been together for 8 years. I have 2 beautiful daughters, one who is 23 years old and one who is 21 years old. And I have a 15-year-old son. Those are my biological children. I also have the blessing of having 2 more daughters and 2 more sons from my wife whom I love and care for as if they were my own. And they feel the same about me. I love playing basketball and spending time with my children and my wife. Going out to watch a movie and going to the cinema with them. I like to attend church whenever I can.
I have had kidney problems for about a year. Thank God I am not yet on dialysis, but it is part of my future. I wish to receive the transplant and lead a normal life without having to undergo dialysis and watch my children grow. And if God allows me, to see and play with my grandchildren one day.
I am sincerely grateful for your help.
