I was a Technical Sergeant in the US Air Force, working in the IT field, and was deployed to Iraq twice and Afghanistan once. My assignments allowed me to go to many places abroad and experience the beauty of their countries and cultures. After retiring from the Air Force with 20 years of service, I held various contracting jobs in the military.
In 2016, I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD). However, in early 2024, my doctor told me that my kidney disease was getting worse and that I might need to go on dialysis or have a kidney transplant. This led me to realize that I did not want to be confined to an office space for the rest of my remaining life, so I made the decision to quit my job to focus on my health and live my life to the fullest.
I am 51 years old, single and my desire to live my life has me looking for things to explore like trying to learn how to play the ukulele. I watch a lot of videos on YouTube and Netflix that pique my interest. If possible, I want to travel again, but I do not want to miss out on the chance of being contacted when a kidney becomes available for me.
For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Jeff’s life with the other!
Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
