Hardy Lundy

Army Reserve | Deceased Donor | Navy

My name is Hardy Lundy, I also served my country in the US Navy as a Boatswain Mate and the US Army Reserves as an 11-C Mortarman. I was a police officer for 25 years and had a very fulfilling career.

I am now a 53-year-old grandfather.  I am blessed with a set of twins, Mecca and Legend, who are 5 years old, and a 4-year-old grandson named Dominique Jr., after my firstborn. Family is everything to me, and I always dreamed of having a large one.

Unfortunately, I am currently facing a health challenge due to kidney failure. Before my kidneys failed, I was a very active person, working out regularly and running. I have been reliant on peritoneal dialysis for my survival since June 2021 or until I receive a kidney transplant.

My children and I explored the possibility of a family kidney donation, but due to various health and age-related reasons, they were unable to donate.

I am reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea for your consideration in becoming a kidney donor. I understand that this is a significant decision, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my story and consider my request. Your willingness to share my story with others would also mean the world to me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time and consideration.

For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Hardy’s life with the other!

Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
