As a civilian, I returned to the family farm and learned a new trade in Commercial VAC. I still farm every day; raise a few head of livestock; and grow corn and soybeans. I am 41 years old and am a single dad to two wonderful young ladies, Lilly and Peyton. They keep me active and give me the drive to get up every day!
In 2015, I was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease (PKD), it was well managed until I had a horrible auto accident in 2022. Due to the injuries I sustained, my kidneys were permanently damaged, and I am now at 10% function and in desperate need of a kidney transplant!
After receiving the gift of a kidney transplant, I hope to continue raising my daughters, farming, and growing our livestock operation. My desire is to have my daughters be able to continue the family tradition!
