My name is Dale Radcliff, and I served in the Nebraska National Guard from 1964 to 1970. We were a transportation company, and my job was in the motor pool. I am not a combat veteran, as our unit was not called up to go to Vietnam.
My career was in law enforcement, and I spent 48 years there. For the last 24 years, I was the elected York County Sheriff and retired six years ago, in 2018. I enjoyed working with and for the residents of the county.
I am married, and we will be celebrating our 60-year anniversary this year. We have two children, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. I have had kidney problems for over 25 years and started dialysis treatment in July 2024. I have been on a transplant list for over four years and am listed with the VA in Iowa City, Iowa. I would love to get back to playing golf and doing some traveling after a transplant.
For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Dale’s life with the other!
Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
