Curtis Davis

Deceased Donor | Navy

My name is Curtis Davis, and I served as a Boatswain Mate 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy and retired in 2002. I loved everything about the Navy! I was employed in maintenance for the Storm Water Department in Norfolk, VA, and while in Philadelphia, I worked for Allied Security and as a Corrections Officer.

I am married and have six wonderful kids and three amazing grandkids. I have been on dialysis for almost five years, and unfortunately, I have limitations such as not being allowed to work, not being able to lift over five pounds, and having a water restriction. I love just being at home watching TV and occasionally going out to eat.

For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Curtis’s life with the other!

Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
