Christopher Valdez

Air Force | Living Donor

Christopher Valdez is a US Air Force veteran who served four years in the administrative field as the Assistant Special Security Officer for an intelligence group within Phillips Laboratory. He also worked for the Air Force Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) in their special security office. Both jobs were awesome, giving him opportunities to travel and see amazing things.

After the military, Chris began a career in the IT industry, spending the last 24 years as a technician, professional, and finally as an IT manager for Los Alamos National Laboratory. Chris has always loved his work and the continuous challenges IT brings. Chris has been diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease (PKD) and is dealing with the complications it can cause, including being reliant on dialysis for his survival. Unfortunately, Chris is currently on disability due to his health challenges.

Chris and his lovely wife, Alexandria, have been married for 23 years and are raising two wonderful kids—a son and a daughter. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, and hiking. Will you join us in our mission to find a kidney for Chris? Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!

Chris has enlisted the help of a Veteran’s organization called DOVE Transplant which is helping in his outreach to find his life-saving kidney donor. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.

A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save this Veteran’s life! Please click on the link below if you would like to learn more OR call (551) 233-1611.
