Hi, I’m Brandon. I proudly served in the United States Army as a 25B Information Technology Specialist, and although my time in service ended sooner than I ever expected, it remains one of the most meaningful chapters of my life. I was medically retired as a Private First Class, and while that transition was difficult, it taught me resilience in ways I never could have imagined. Even after leaving the military, I refused to let life’s setbacks define me. In 2022, I graduated from The Ohio State University, a moment that meant everything to me because it wasn’t just about earning a degree — it was about proving to myself and making my family proud that I could keep pushing forward no matter what life placed in front of me. Today, I continue to work in Information Technology, a field that has allowed me to build a future, provide for my loved ones, and continue doing work that gives me purpose.

More than any title, career, or accomplishment, the greatest blessing in my life is my family. I am married to my beautiful wife, and together we are raising our two little girls, who are truly my whole world. They are the reason I keep fighting, even on the days when I feel exhausted, discouraged, or overwhelmed. I’ve always tried to be someone my family can lean on — someone strong, dependable, and steady — but in June 2025, my world was turned upside down when I had to begin dialysis. Since then, life has looked very different. The physical toll, emotional weight, and constant uncertainty of kidney failure have brought a kind of stress and fear that is hard to put into words. It’s been incredibly painful to go from being the one who always shows up for everyone else to now facing something so heavy that I cannot fix on my own. Still, through every treatment, every setback, and every difficult day, I hold tightly to my faith and continue to pray for the chance to receive a kidney transplant and get a piece of my life back.

I’ve always loved traveling, seeing new places, and creating memories with the people I love. I’ve been blessed to visit different states and countries, and those moments reminded me how beautiful and full life can be. Since starting dialysis, so much of that freedom has been taken from me, and that loss has been one of the hardest parts of this journey. There are so many things I want to do again — not just for myself, but for my wife, my daughters, and the future I still believe I’m meant to have. My hope is that once I receive a kidney, I can not only return to living more fully, but also use my story to help others, encourage people to take their health seriously, and inspire those who may be silently fighting their own battles. Every single day, I pray for a matching donor, for healing, and for more time — time to be the husband, father, provider, and man my family needs me to be.

We need you to help us support Brandon.  Whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor,  you can make a profound impact!

Living kidney donation has been proven to be safe.  There are no long term consequences to the donor.  After recovery, donors can live a normal life with one kidney.

DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the  evaluation or surgery.
