Veteran’s Journey: Seeking a Second Chance
Benito proudly answered the call to serve his country, beginning his distinguished career in the U.S. Army in 1977. A dedicated and courageous soldier, he served as Airborne and committed himself fully to the highest standards of service, ultimately achieving the rank of Sergeant. Throughout his service and beyond, he has exemplified dedication, a trait he carries into every part of his life.
For 44 years, he has been a loving and devoted husband to his wife, building a strong family foundation. He is a cherished father and an amazing grandfather, whose greatest joy is spending time with his family.
Today, Benito faces his toughest battle yet: a fight
against kidney disease. His only path to recovery and many more years with the family he adores is a kidney transplant. He is currently seeking a living donor to give him the gift of life.
After dedicating his life to serving others, he is now asking for the support of his community as he seeks this vital second chance.
For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Benito‘s life with the other!
