My name is Anthony, and I’m an Army veteran. I served from 1995-1999 and did reserve from 1999-2003. My MOS was 88H, cargo specialist. I went to El Salvador to provide disaster relief after a major storm in 1996.
After my military career, I drove trucks for twenty-five plus years. I had to stop working in May of last year because that’s when I developed stage five kidney disease. I started dialysis in July of 2025. I don’t have any children. I’m not married, although I do love someone deeply and hope to be married soon.
I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2003 and started dialysis in July of 2025. I went through a depression around Thanksgiving of 2024, and that’s how my kidney disease spiraled.
My interests and hobbies include volunteering at my church every chance I get. I sing on the praise team at my church. I love music, and I love to draw as well. I would love to go back to work. Preferably, start my own business. I’m working on what business I would start. Probably something in transportation because I have a lot of experience in the industry.
I would like to work with DOVE to help spread the word about this wonderful organization.
We need you to help us support Anthony. Whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, you can make a profound impact!
Living kidney donation has been proven to be safe. There are no long term consequences to the donor. After recovery, donors can live a normal life with one kidney.
DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery.
