I proudly served as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Helper in the US Air Force until I was medically retired. When I left the Air Force, I joined the Vocational Rehabilitation program with the Veterans Administration.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and a minor in Business administration from Daniel Webster College. Worked for Digital Equipment Corporation for approximately eight years, got laid off.

I received an offer a year later to work at Tech Temps in Raleigh, NC. I worked for the US Postal Service in their computer systems division for eight years before being laid off. I went to Wake County Public Schools and worked as a substitute teacher. After that, I ran a teleprompter for the State of NC and worked for the Department of Human Services Energy Assistance Program.

I have been married to a lovely woman for forty years with one son and a beautiful granddaughter.

I have battled kidney disease due to lithium toxicity for about 10 years and am working hard to stay off dialysis. I get up early then get tired by 4 and go to bed by 7. A fistula was put in my arm last year in case I needed dialysis.

I volunteered with the Disabled American Veterans Wake County Chapter 1 North Carolina. I was head of fundraising as the Treasurer and Chapter Service officer and served as a Veteran’s Advocate helping countless veterans get the benefits they earned.

For medically cleared donors, giving the gift of life through living kidney donation has been proven to be very safe. DOVE will assist all prospective donors throughout the process and make sure they do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses related to the evaluation or surgery. A healthy person can live a normal life with one kidney and save Angel‘s life with the other!

Your support, whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor, can make a profound impact on his life and the life of his family!
