My name is Aaron, and my commitment to serving others began with military service in the United States Army. As an Afghanistan War veteran, I also served in South Korea, Africa, and Turkey with the 5th Special Forces Group and the 101st Airborne Corps. During my military career, I served as both an airborne infantryman and a quartermaster officer, experiences that strengthened my leadership abilities, resilience, and appreciation for teamwork under demanding conditions. The lessons I learned through military service continue to guide both my personal and professional life.

Following my military career, I continued serving our nation through federal civilian service. Today, I work for the United States Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where I collaborate with software engineering teams developing the next generation of software systems that will support future military aircraft. Contributing to technologies that enhance national defense while working alongside exceptionally talented professionals is both challenging and rewarding.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors and embracing opportunities to stay active through fitness, travel, and cooking. Whether exploring new places, preparing meals for family and friends, or enjoying outdoor adventures, I value experiences that promote health, lifelong learning, and meaningful relationships.

I have been blessed with a life centered on faith, family, service, and a commitment to making a meaningful difference. For the past 34 years, I have been married to my wife, Angela, whose dedication as a teacher in Texas has positively influenced countless students. Together, we have raised three wonderful children who have each pursued their own paths of service and learning. Our oldest daughter, Kennedy, is working toward her master’s degree in library science. Our daughter, Victoria, is a teacher in Spain, where she shares her passion for education with students abroad. Our son, Wyatt, is a senior at the University of Arkansas as he prepares to begin his own professional journey. Watching our children grow into compassionate, hardworking adults has been one of the greatest joys of our lives.

Life has also presented significant personal challenges. After serving at the nuclear-contaminated K2 base in Kazakhstan, I was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease (PKD). Although I currently continue to live an active and productive life, my kidney function continues to decline, and I know that life-saving dialysis will eventually become necessary. This diagnosis has strengthened my perspective on gratitude, perseverance, and making the most of each day. Rather than allowing adversity to define me, it has reinforced my commitment to serving others, supporting my family, and approaching each opportunity with determination and optimism.

Throughout my life, I have sought to lead through service, integrity, and resilience. Whether serving in uniform, supporting our nation’s defense as a civilian, investing in my family, or facing personal health challenges, I strive to leave a positive impact on those around me while remaining grateful for the opportunities and experiences that have shaped my journey.

We need you to help us support Aaron.  Whether through spreading the word on social media or considering becoming a donor,  you can make a profound impact!

Living kidney donation has been proven to be safe.  There are no long term consequences to the donor.  After recovery, donors can live a normal life with one kidney.
